Jeri Shaughnessy plays an important role in keeping things running at Grand Rapids State Bank. As an Operations Support Representative, she handles internet banking, processes ACH files, and manages wire transfers both domestically and internationally. She also works closely with account balancing, making sure everything from credit cards to teller transactions are accurate. If something doesn’t line up, Jeri is the one who steps in to sort it out with care and precision.

Jeri began her career with GRSB in 2002, starting in customer support and operations. After a departure in 2018, she returned to the bank in 2024. Before joining the bank, she was pursuing a career in nursing and working as a nursing assistant. In that role, she transitioned into the business office, where she discovered a love for the administrative side of healthcare. That experience sparked her interest in operations and eventually led her to the banking world. Her ability to adapt and her passion for helping others made the transition a natural fit. With a background in both care and coordination, Jeri brings strong problem-solving and organizational skills to her work at GRSB.

Outside of work, Jeri enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves outdoor adventures, especially side-by-side rides and traveling to new places. She’s married to her college sweetheart, Jim, and is a proud mom to Lincoln, Kennedy, and Madden. The family also includes two beloved dogs, Kola and Baz, who bring plenty of energy and joy to their home.

One of the things Jeri has enjoyed most about working at GRSB is the chance to grow both personally and professionally. She appreciates the support she has received through hands-on training and educational opportunities. That encouragement has helped her continue learning and improving throughout her career.
